　講義概要　

In Fall 2022, 48,000 academic workers walked off the job at the University of California, in the largest U.S. academic worker strike in history. We won historic pay increases and improved benefits. However, our path to shifting the balance of power in our workplace did not begin or end with our strike. Coordinated, mass action was only possible through decades of organizing, and only a growth in our power will beat back attempts to roll back our hard-won rights.

　講師プロフィール　Aya Konishi

Aya Konishi is a PhD student in sociology at UCLA, and a head steward for UAW 2865, the union that represents 36,000 academic student employees and student researchers at the University of California system.

ふぇみ・ゼミは、フェミニズムはジェンダーだけでなく、民族やセクシュアリティ、障害など様々な差別に同時に目を向けなくてはならないと、インターセクショナリティ（差別の交差性）の考え方で講座を開催しているゼミナールです。若い世代が対等な仲間とフェミニズムとは何か、差別とは何かを学び、社会変革を目指す場です。
